Thiruparankundram - Literary mention


Holy person Sambandar, the popular Shaiva Saint of the seventh Century, has visited Thiruparankundram and has sung Devaram on Shiva. Gnana Sambanda has met the three Tamil boss, the Chera, the Chola and the Pandya in this sanctuary and has favored all three. Sundarar and Sambandar created the Devaram Pathigam here. Nakkirar sang numerous sonnets on Muruga. Tiruppugazh, Kandapuranam and different works discuss the greatness of this place of worship.
